Week 31

Perspectives on Enterprise

Enterprise Summer School

1-4 August, 2011
Bymose Hegn, Helsinge, Denmark

How can you hope to manage a complex enterprise if you don’t understand how it functions and how could you understand it without an adequate model designed for the purpose? And how can you take strategic decisions if you don’t have the right information on which to base those decisions and how will the organisation provide that information reliably if the enterprise isn’t designed to do that?

Join us on this 4-day retreat pondering about enterprise in the company of chief architects, management consultants, aspiring enterprise architects and others interested in the future of the enterprise.

Enterprise: - a company, business, organization, or other purposeful endeavor; an undertaking or project, especially a daring and courageous one; a willingness to undertake new or risky projects; energy and initiative; an active participation in projects.

Themes will include:

  • Business Leaders’ Perspective on Enterprise: Angels in the Architecture
  • Stakeholders’ Perspective on Enterprise: NIMBY and other metaphors
  • Chief Architects’ Perspective on Enterprise: World-Class Enterprise Architecture

  • CIO’s Perspective on Enterprise: Us & Them?
  • Theme perspective: Government as (an) enterprise
  • (Theme Perspective: Enterprise 2.0)
